QuantAim 1 / …

For schools

Financial literacy and economics, taught the way the subject actually works

QuantAim is a complete course platform, not a tutoring app: full syllabus lesson sets, practice questions, mock exams with worked answers, live simulations, and a teacher dashboard that shows you what landed.

Your first year is free. Every school we write to gets full access for a year - every teacher, every student, no card required.

No account needed to read these slides, and nothing to download.

Why now

The requirement arrived before the materials did

A growing number of states now require a standalone personal finance course to graduate, each with its own first affected class. The course has to exist, be timetabled, and be taught by someone - usually a business or social studies teacher who did not ask for another prep.

That is the gap QuantAim fills: a course that is ready to teach on Monday, not a box of resources to assemble.

What is actually in it

Counted from the platform as this page loaded

404published lessons, each with its own question set
2,554practice questions across every course
6full curricula, syllabus unit by syllabus unit
7live simulations at real market prices
417printable lesson plans
361glossary terms
12marked exemplar answers
11exam technique guides

These are live counts, not a figure typed in when the page was written. Educational content only, no financial advice, works in any browser, no IT setup.

The courses

Every course, organised by its own syllabus

IB Economics

Economics at IB Diploma level — microeconomics, macroeconomics, and the global economy, taught with real market data.

IB Business

Business Management at IB Diploma level — how organisations are structured, financed, marketed, and run.

AP Macro

Macroeconomics at AP level — national income, the financial sector, stabilization policy, and international trade.

AP Micro

Microeconomics at AP level — supply and demand, market structures, factor markets, and the role of government.

Personal Finance

The money skills required by most state graduation standards — earning, budgeting, credit, investing, insurance, and taxes.

CTE Business

The business and personal finance content of a CTE Business, Marketing and Finance pathway, organised by the courses a CTE department actually timetables rather than by exam-board unit names.

Every course includes a full syllabus lesson set, practice questions, a mock exam, worked answers and a standards alignment document.

Live simulations

Seven places where they have to decide, not recall

Portfolio simulator

Virtual money at real live market prices. Every trade requires written reasoning, and the reasoning is what gets graded - not whether the stock went up.

Monetary policy

Students act as a central bank, adjusting rates and money supply. Maps to IB Economics Section 3.

Fiscal policy

Government spending and taxation, with the multiplier effect on GDP, employment and inflation.

Supply shock

A sudden disruption demanding a policy response. Supply and demand analysis applied to a real external shock.

Trade policy

Negotiate tariffs and agreements, then watch the effect at home and abroad. Maps to IB Economics Section 4.

Run a business

Pricing, hiring and production decisions over multiple rounds. IB Business Management Units 1 to 4.

Stock analysis workshop

Analyse any real company with a structured framework, connecting finance theory to actual SEC filings.

The AI tutor

It re-teaches the idea instead of marking it wrong

A real exchange, IB Economics, tax incidence and elasticity:

StudentIf a $0.40 tax raises the price by only $0.30, does that mean demand is elastic or inelastic?
QuantAimIf the price only rises by $0.30 on a $0.40 tax, the seller is absorbing $0.10 of the cost. That happens when demand is inelastic - buyers are not very sensitive to price. Now: if demand were perfectly elastic, how much of the tax would the seller absorb?
StudentAll of it?
QuantAimExactly right. With perfectly elastic demand, any price increase causes buyers to leave, so the seller absorbs 100% of the tax. That is the IB exam answer.

It answers in the language of the syllabus rather than generic web advice, adapts to the student in front of it, and is there at eleven at night the week before an exam.

The student side

One idea at a time, then prove it

  • ✓A lesson opens by saying plainly what it is about, then moves one part at a time.
  • ✓A diagram they can move - supply and demand, compounding, an option payoff - not a picture of one.
  • ✓A quick check after each part, so nobody reaches the end having read nothing.
  • ✓A mastery score out of 100 that moves up on a right answer and down on a wrong one, so guessing is not a strategy.
  • ✓Daily challenges, class competitions and live games for the lessons that need a pulse.

Exams and marking

Mock exam and worked answers for every course

Every course has a full mock exam with a worked answer to every question, plus a question bank for shorter practice. Written responses get first-pass marking with per-criterion feedback, which a teacher can read, change or overrule - the grade is never the machine's final word.

IB teachers also get IA guidance, a marked student workspace and a moderation queue.

The teacher dashboard

What landed, who has stopped, and what to re-teach

  • →Progress at a glance. Lessons completed this week against last week, quiz accuracy, streaks, and a seven-day activity chart.
  • →Every student, flagged. On Track, Needs Attention, or At Risk - worked out from silence and quiz average, not typed in by you.
  • →A report per student. Every lesson, date, time spent and score, plus mastery per topic. Print it for a parent conference.
  • →Standards coverage, live. Unit by unit, the share of your class who have actually covered it. Evidence for a department head, generated from completions.
  • →What they wrongly believe. The wrong answer your class keeps choosing, in their own words.

Grades export to CSV, and every report prints clean to PDF.

Being straight with you

What QuantAim does not do

  • ×It is not financial advice. It is educational, and no student trades real money.
  • ×It does not replace the teacher. There is no version of this that teaches the class for you.
  • ×There is no independent efficacy study. We publish our own usage numbers instead, sample sizes included.
  • ×We have no adoption figures to boast about, so we quote none.
