Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of QuantAim. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

QuantAim LLC (“QuantAim”, “we”, “us”) operates the QuantAim platform at quantaim.org, including QuantAim Academy and the QuantAim investment research tools.

2. Age requirement

QuantAim is for people aged 13 and over. Year of birth is collected at registration and accounts are not created for anyone under 13. If we learn that someone under 13 holds an account, we will close it and delete the associated data.

For school and district accounts, the licensed school or district is responsible for verifying student age eligibility and for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required under applicable law before enrolling students.

3. Accounts

• Individual learners create their own account and are responsible for their credentials.
• Teachers and administrators create classes; students join using a join code, or are matched from a connected Google Classroom roster. Every student creates their own account — QuantAim does not create accounts on a student's behalf.
• For school and district accounts, the school or district is the primary account holder for licensing purposes.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. What QuantAim provides

• QuantAim Academy — a curriculum covering personal finance and investing, including lessons, quizzes, a Portfolio Simulator using real market prices and simulated funds, and instructor tools.
• AI-assisted evaluation — some work, including free-response answers and written trade justifications, is evaluated using OpenAI's models. This is automated and can contain errors. Teachers can override AI-assigned scores on free-response work, and can rate and annotate trade justifications, through the Teacher Dashboard.
• Research tools — AI Stock Analysis, the QuantAim Score and related tools, which are separate from the Academy curriculum.

5. Educational use only — not financial advice

QuantAim is an educational tool and does not provide financial advice. Nothing on the platform — including AI-generated analysis, scores, ratings and the Portfolio Simulator — constitutes financial, investment, trading, tax or legal advice.

The Portfolio Simulator uses simulated funds only. No real money is invested, no brokerage account is created or required, and QuantAim does not execute trades of any kind. Past performance shown on the platform does not guarantee future results. Consult a licensed financial advisor before making real investment decisions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity or age.
• Access another user's account or data without authorisation.
• Submit real financial account information or trading credentials to the platform.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract QuantAim's underlying data, scoring models or AI systems.
• Use the platform in any way that breaks applicable law, including student data privacy law.

7. School and district licensing

• Licences are billed as described on our pricing page, with a 30-day free trial available on school and district plans.
• Access does not continue past the trial without an active paid licence.
• Schools and districts retain ownership of their students' and teachers' data. QuantAim acts as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest under FERPA, for the sole purpose of providing the licensed service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Where a district has its own Student Data Privacy Agreement in place, those terms govern where they conflict with these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

All curriculum content, software, scoring methodology and branding are the property of QuantAim LLC or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended educational purpose.

9. Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. Schools and districts may terminate under their licensing agreement. Individual users may cancel a subscription at any time from their Account page, with access continuing to the end of the paid period, and may permanently delete their account from the same place.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

QuantAim is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that market data or AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuantAim LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from investment decisions made in reliance on the platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes affecting school and district customers will be communicated directly, not only posted here.
